It's been a little over a week since DC Studios announced that Steven Soderbergh would finish directing the remaining weeks of The Batman: Part 2 production while Matt Reeves attends to a family issue. Now, Batman himself Robert Pattinson has commented on the situation.
"I am so happy he's come on to help Matt," Pattinson told GamesRadar+. "It's incredibly generous of him – and he's doing it in the loveliest way. It's completely selfless."
Pattinson continued:
"I think Matt had put so much work into the script, and we're almost done. So for someone to come in and say, 'I just want to help Matt do it; I want to do it in conjunction with him and just get it to the edit.' And to have someone who's as talented as Steven doing it is great."
Pattinson also confirmed that cameras are already rolling under Soderbergh's direction. "I think they're in production already," Pattinson said. "And I'm starting in a couple of days."
Pattinson is currently promoting his new movie PrimeTime in the UK, which opens there on October 31st. That would explain why he's doing interviews like this and hasn't been on set yet with Soderbergh.

Assuming this interview was done over the weekend or last week, it seems like Pattinson will be back on set this week.
