On September 6, 2010 I launched Batman News. Today, 16 years later, I'm doing it again! I've been gone for 8 years and it feels so good to be back. I've been working towards this day for almost a year now. So how did we get here?

Welcome to the new Batman News

Batman News has been completely rebuilt and the first thing I think you'll notice is there are no ads! The new tagline is "No Ads. No Clickbait. Just Batman News." Let me explain the first part -- "No Ads. No Clickbait". I'm not doing this for money. I revived Batman News because I love it and I love the community. I know we may have lost some of that community over the last year, and I hope they can find this place and come back.

"Just Batman News". This time around, the main focus of the website will be Batman. I won't be covering every DC movie like last time, but I have a solution to that and it's something I'm really excited about...

Batman News Forums

Batman News has forums! The forums are for all things Batman and DC. There's even an off-topic area where we can talk about whatever we'd like. Best of all, the forums are integrated right into this website. When I publish a news article, it automatically creates a forum post. The most "liked" comments on that forum post will display under the news articles, with a button to read them all at the forums. The homepage has tabs so you can go from the latest news to the latest forums posts with just a tap.

Disqus was great on the old Batman News, but really, this community outgrew it. Forums are much more powerful and will allow you to talk about whatever it is you'd like to discuss with your fellow DC fans. You don't need to wait for an article to go up. Have something on your mind? Just post it!

Dark (Knight) Mode

This one I'm really excited about. What's a Batman website without Dark Mode?! It's something I wanted years ago and now it's here. Batman News will automatically adjust to your device's Light Mode/Dark Mode setting. Want to override it? Just hit the menu button in the top right corner and can switch from "Auto" to the setting of your choice. No more getting blinded when you're checking Batman News or browsing the forums in bed.

Media Posts

Batman News was known for sharing the highest quality media, and this time around it will be no different. I completely rebuild the image galleries to make them more user friendly. While I won't be covering every detail of non-Batman movies, I will be posting what I call "Media Posts".

To celebrate a DC movie's release date, I'll be sharing all the hi-res images, posters, and trailers that Warner Bros. has put out. As an example, you can check out media posts for The Batman, Superman, Supergirl, and there will be one for Clayface next month too.

Your Support

As I mentioned, Batman News is now ad-free. That said, there are costs associated with running a website and forums. If you'd like to contribute and help offset some of those costs, I set up a new Donate page. You can support the site for free by signing up for the free newsletter at the bottom of each posts, following me on Twitter (X), Threads, or by signing up for the forums and joining the community there.

Batman News is essentially starting from scratch, so I need your help in spreading the word and letting fellow Batman and DC fans know that it's back!
