Ben Affleck was on the Happy Sad Confused podcast to promote his new Netflix movie Animals. They covered all aspects of his career, but when it got to Justice League, Affleck was very honest about the bad experience he had making that movie. "You want the low point of my career? It was that", Affleck said.
Affleck went on to explain it was a number of things that contributed to the bad experience, both personally and professionally. Personally, Affleck was drinking and going through marriage issues with his then wife Jennifer Garner. Professionally, Affleck was watching Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. disagreeing. "I really saw how not to make a movie like that", Affleck said.
When Snyder had to walk away from Justice League due to the death of his daughter, Affleck thought Warner Bros. used that as an excuse to take the movie away from him and hire Joss Whendon for reshoots. "The way in which that was, I thought frankly, used as an excuse, I just thought was one of the shittiest things I had ever seen," Affleck said.
Affleck said he didn't personally have a bad experience with Joss Whedon, but he heard about it secondhand from Gal Gadot and Ray Fisher, among others. As he was reflecting on the whole Justice League experience, Affleck said "it was just like, wow, this is about as gross as it gets."

It's good to see someone as big as Affleck calling out what WB did to Snyder. It was indeed one of the shittiest things I've seen happen in this industry
