Scarlett Johansson says 'The Batman: Part 2' role was "tough" and "hard to crack"

Last weekend we got a lot of clues about the villains in The Batman: Part 2 and who will play them, but we still don't know for sure who Scarlett Johansson is. She's been rumored to be Gilda Dent, but one things for sure, the role was "tough" and "hard to crack" for Johansson.

She explained it all in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight. Johansson was asked which of her upcoming roles in The Exorcist and The Batman: Part 2 pushed her the furthest out of her comfort zone. Here's what she had to say:

"Oh my gosh, probably the role in The Batman because it was just—I don't know, it gave me a lot of existential angst for some reason. It was very hard to figure out. I don't know why, it was just whether it was just the role, it was just where I'm in my life, or what's going on, but it was just like hard to crack it.

And that's all I can say about it. Yeah, it was a tough role, you know, in a lot of ways."

You can watch video of Johansson's comments at the start of the interview below.

This is interesting and it sounds like it's a very complex role. I personally believe that Scarlett Johansson will be a villain in The Batman: Part 2, but who she's playing is anyone's guess. What do you make of Johansson's comments about her role? Let me know in the comments below.
